Parent Helpline (Kids Don't Come With Instructions Hotline) is a 24 hour, toll-free helpline providing supportive listening, information, and referrals for families experiencing problems or stress. Parents are encouraged to explore solutions to the stresses of parenting and assistance is provided to link families with community support services. Behavior management, child development and non-physical forms of discipline are discussed.
Kids Don't Come With Instructions Parent Helpline
The Kids Don't Come With Instructions parent helpline is a 24 hour 7 day a week resource for parents to use to receive supportive listening and referral information.The helpline counselors go thru an extensive training process and all of the counselors are in the social work field. Begining in 2007 we were able to offer the Parent Helpline to Latino families. The parent helpline reaches over 10,000 families a year.
