April is Child Abuse Prevention Month April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. PCAT puts together an informational packet that is distributed to various agencies and individuals throughout Tennessee. The packet contains excellent information about what can be done about child abuse. We also include parent tip sheets that can be passed out in communities.

Please join us on March 31st from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Tennessee legislature to kick-off Child Abuse Prevention Month. The house will pass a resolution proclaming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The governor will sign a proclomation. It will be an excellent time for agencies to show the legislature how important prevention is to child abuse and neglect.
